湘剧高腔《双下山》讲述了一个小和尚和小尼姑各自偷偷逃下山去，两人在途中邂逅互生爱慕之情，最终一同奔向世俗的烟火生活的故事。

The Xiangju opera Romance of a Monk and a Nun featuring high pitched tunes tells a story of a young monk, who sneaks away from the temple, and a young nun, who does so from the nunnery. The two don’t know each other before, but during the escape, they bump into each other and develop mutual affection. Finally they decide to get married to embrace a secular life in the world beyond temples or nunneries.
